Q&A WITH U.S. HEMP INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT, JOY BECKERMAN

I am a proud member of the U.S. Hemp Industry Association (HIA) and Tennessee Hemp Industry Association (TNHIA).  On August 22, 2019, Hemp Industry Daily, an online publication covering all matters cannabis, published a fantastic Q&A with HIA President, Joy Beckerman, which can be found here.  Joy comments on the fast-paced growth and current health of the hemp industry, and specifically focuses on the need for infrastructure and specifically the processing of hemp in order to keep fueling this industry fire. 

Joy also comments on banking challenges and informs that (U.S.) Sens. Ron Wyden and Mitch McConnell, who are from opposite ends of the country and the political spectrum, are drafting a joint letter to the FDIC (U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.) to direct their members to open up banking services to hemp industry members.  We will be keeping a close watch on these matters and will provide updates as they are available.
