On July 1, 2024, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture made live its application submission portal for hemp-derived cannabinoid products (which includes delta-9 THC, delta-8 THC, THCa, to name a few) in Tennessee.
The Tennessee hemp-derived industry member license application can be found here: https://www.tn.gov/agriculture/businesses/hemp/hemp-derived-cannabinoids.html
Please know that our state’s new Cannabis Director, Patricia Hart, is hosting a Webinar for Retailers and Suppliers of Hemp-Derived Cannabinoid Products on July 15th at 10:00 a.m. and registration can be obtained here.
Tennessee law (P.C. 423) requires all industry members to obtain a license from the department and to comply with applicable statutes and the department’s new rules. The final version of the department’s rules governing hemp-derived cannabinoid industry members have also been made available by the department as of July 1st. Our cannabis law team is reviewing the department’s most recent rules and will be posting a summary of the changes here. Stay tuned!
