My wife and I are from Louisiana and are so thankful that our families and loved ones made it through Hurricane Ida. My wife is from Houma, Louisiana, which is south of New Orleans and which was in the direct path of Ida as a Category 4 hurricane. The town and region is now a disaster area. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all those who are suffering, and we know there are many. All of those affected will certainly appreciate any and all relief that federal, state, and local agencies can offer.
On Tuesday, August 31st the Federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) reached out to alcohol industry members affected by Hurricane Ida and other natural disasters such as the West Coast wildfires with a summary of the relief methods offered by the TTB. In addition to the various relief offerings available on the federal level as it pertains to tax credits and waivers of tax penalties, if you are an industry member that has been adversely affected by a natural disaster please know that your specific state may offer forms of relief as well.
The toll free number to call for TTB disaster relief needs is: 877-882-3277
